One of the best ways to avoid peri-implantitis is to assemble and cement our implant restorations outside of the mouth. One of the many things I appreciate about CAD/CAM dentistry and the material e.max is the ability to fabricate and complete my implant restorations for optimized function, placement, and aesthetics. Often I will use a two piece approach to blend the crown portion of the implant restoration to the adjacent teeth and creating the e.max abutment in dentin color. Then, cement the crown on the abutment extraorally and screw-in the fully assembled implant restoration. This video will demonstrate my technique for extraoral cementation.
