There have been several requests to review my cementation process, particularly the resin cement cleanup management. Resin cements incorporate new dimensions of strength and optimize the adhesive assembly. On the other hand, cleanup can be a “pain in the backside”. Impulse e.max adds additional options for shade selection and clinical applications. There are three Value blocks and two Opal blocks. The Value blocks are recommended for crowns, veneers, and partial crowns (value increases from V1 to V3). The block match is determined by brightness. The Opal blocks are indicated for thin veneers. Check the spacer in the Design Screen by viewing underside of restoration (remove Model Box in the Analyzing tools). This will provide assessment for spacer. Important…check the spacer first after proposal of restoration. If Spacer needs to be increased because of spacer shine through assessment, the full proposal will be repurposed rather than just the spacer being altered as we saw in 3.85. In most cases, I am not seeing spacer binding issues in 4.0 full crown mills with a 60-80
