Sirona introduces a new historical camera to digital dentistry.  The Omnicam is colorstreaming, similar to an intraoral camera and used in a similar way, except 3D.  The camera size and ergonomics parallels a hand piece, facilitating easy access to the posterior segments of the mouth.  And, no reflective medium is required.  I have been a beta tester for this camera.  It does add new fascination to a digital impression.  The virtual die represents a truelife color virtual die.  Margin tracing is enhanced by being able to observe the color demarcation between the tooth margin and soft issue or packed cord.
