The cloud developed by Dentsply Sirona, DS Core, has been good for the digital world in dentistry.  Not only does the cloud service make CEREC and Inlab an open system, but digital imaging systems across the board can now be uploaded to DS Core, and this cloud service offers file conversion to software design options outside of the Dentsply Sirona ecosystem.  This is a gift to the profession.  But more exciting, it will bring down the cost of digital dentistry for those who want to get into in-office CAD/CAM, printing, and exporting to design and aligner services.  As these new opportunities open up, we will highlight these digitalRead more

The introduction of Primescan 2 is creating a new investigated surge for in-office CAD/CAM. Now, with DS core, we are entering a new world for open systems and building unique CAD/CAM system matches in the office.  The Primescan 2 is a cloud scanner for both in-office CAD/CAM users and online cloud options for digital labs, ortho, and design centers.  So, the future of dentistry can now mix a Trio scanner via DS Core to inLab and then mill on a Primemill or MC XL. In the future, this site will provide recommendations for creating a unique in-office CAD/CAM system to meet the operator's needs.
